Contour Lines team works with tree nurseries to provide the best trees possible to the farmers that we partner with. Our projects feature a variety of native nitrogen fixing trees and productive fruit and nut trees that are chosen by the landowner. In addition to trees Contour Lines also supplies farmers with a diversity of fast growing annual crops that can be planted in and between the rows of trees. The result of this diversity of species is highly resilient and productive agroforestry systems. Our projects are truly regenerative agriculture as they do not rely on chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
The majority of projects plant fruit trees, all of which come from Dwight Carter of Frutas del Mundo, just up the Rio Dulce river from Livingston.
